Who we are
LaserFace is part of Zone.net.au, a set of tools built and run by Flying Pictures Laser Show Systems (ABN 81 394 284 413), trading as Flying Pictures. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
LaserFace uses your webcam, or a video file you choose, to track a face. All the tracking happens in your browser. Your camera feed, video files and the tracking results are not recorded, uploaded or sent to us.
The app sends the tracking numbers (for example mouth and eyebrow values) over a WebSocket to the bridge address you enter, typically software running on your own computer or network. We don't receive them.
How we use it
We don't use anything from your use of the tool, because we never receive it. Server access logs (below) are used only to run and secure the service.
Standard server logs
Like any web server, ours keeps access logs (IP address, page requested, browser user-agent, timestamp) to run and secure the service. They are rotated automatically.
Cookies and tracking
We don't set any cookies, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
Third parties
- Google Fonts: the page loads its typefaces from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) and Google Cloud Storage (storage.googleapis.com): the page loads the MediaPipe face-tracking library and model from them, so they receive your IP address and browser details.
- Hostinger (India) hosts our servers.
- Cloudflare provides DNS only.
